When running a busy agency, a major concern is how long it will take to hire new staff with no experience. Abi Hyslop runs Designer Travel's new employee academy. She explains that this specialized section of the business allows the travel agency to hire one travel novice employee per month, with the aim of being able to sell independently after a year. did.
“New hires have two days of intensive induction training. The first day is a webinar and the second day we meet in person. Then there is a follow-up with a business development manager, who sells me as a mentor. ,” she explains.
